BUENOS DIAS

well! this week has been interesting! did ALOT of traveling! 17 hours in a bus.... kinda sucked. but i got some sleep. haha got my new greenie. Elder Fajardo from Guayaquil Ecuador. he seems pretty excited to work. which is great, because we are opening a new and HUGE area. its about the size of all the areas in my last district combined!! and there's only about 90 active members here!! crazy! but as soon as we got here we started working. the members are excited to have missionaries and are super willing to help us. we`ve already started filling up the agenda for this week. we found a family where the dad is the only one who is not a member and put a baptism date on him! and then he came to church. and we had another random guy we invited come!! if all goes good there will be baptisms here in not to long!

my district is doing good too. it only consists of us, one hermana companionship, and the ZL`s. but everyone's doing great for how strange of a week it was. i don't know if y'all know but right now we are in the middle of the copa americana. so whenever Colombia plays. no one wants to listen. on Thursday when Colombia won, there was tons of parties every where. lots of drunk people. and lots of people shooting. in the news the next day they said a bunch of people were killed that night. so yesterday when Colombia played again we weren't allowed out in the streets. so we stayed at a members house and watched the game. it was fun. but it stinks to lose time like that. this Friday we have to do the same.

i also, along with District Leader and Trainer, have been put as the zone English leader. so i have to give the missionaries an English class once a week. kinda cool tho. my comp is really excited to be able to learn English.

everything is going great tho. super happy! getting close to the year mark. i cant even fathom that though. remember always to be on the Lords side. make the decision now to always do whats right, and God will help you and bless you with the spirit when that time comes to make those important decisions.
ZACH HARDY!!! I'm proud of you buddy :)

stay happy everyone! i love you!

BEST WEEK OF MY MISSION!!
this week was soooo good. Wadley decided to cheer up a bit for one (he has been struggling with the language). two, aydee got baptized. three, i now have less than 13 months left. and four, we got our transfers last night!!
the baptism went AWESOME! i was somewhat stressed about it day of. i really wanted it to go perfect.and although NOBODY that was asked to talk or participate in the baptism showed up. we had some great members fill in and help out. i cant begin to explain how happy Aydee was. just wait till you see the pictures. it was an amazing feeling to baptize someone who is TRULY converted to the gospel. i know she was baptized for no reason other the the fact that she knows the church was true. shes said it to us. THE JOY THAT COMES FROM SHARING THE GOSPEL IS INDESCRIBABLE. not sure what else to say about it really.

and the other good/sad news. the transfers. I'm leaving Mogambo. its weird to me because i feel like i just got here. but its been over 4 months now. i don't want to have to say goodbye to the people here, bt i am excited to meet the people in my new area DosQuebradas Pereira!!!! Pereira is in the Ejecafetero (southern part of the mission by bogotá). i will continue being District Leader there and will be training AGAIN!! HIJO2x

but yeah, that's pretty much what made my week awesome. oh and funny story too, when i put my white pants on for the baptism they fell right off cause they were too big. had to readjust them. haha guess I've lost some weight in all the heat!

i love you all. i hope your week was as great as mine!! and that the next one is even better! remember that the church is true! and the God loves you!

Only the Good News!

the title doesn't mean i only have good news. it means I'm only gonna tell you the good parts. haha.
found out that Aide spells her name Aydee. AND SHES GETTING BAPTIZED. its for real this time tho. she had her interview and everything. we are putting together the program this week and she´ll be baptized on Saturday. shes asked that i baptize her and Larroza (my old comp that was with me when we found her) confirms her. she cried during her interview saying that she didn't want me and larroza to get transferred next week. it made me sad but me and Larroza are pretty certain its gonna happen.
it'll be hard to say goodbye this time i know it.

this week a couple other cool things happened.we had to go to the airport to pick up an elder from our ward who was coming home. his dad is inactive and didn't go so we had to accompany his mom and sisters. it was cool. kinda of trunky though to watch somebody get home and hug their mom for the first time in 2 years... but anyways, like i said GOOD NEWS.

we had our multizone conference with the pres this week. it was the last time we´ll see him. new pres comes in a couple weeks after this transfer. the conference was cool though. i gotta see a lot of old faces from the beginning of my mission that are now in other zones in the coast. i saw Elder Condori (the elder who was with me when we got shot at) and elder Padgett came up with the pres cause he is the assistant now. so that was fun. we had 2 hours of Q and A time with the pres and his wife. they should post the pics from it soon! but i got some here too.

well, i love you guys! keep praying for Aydee!! this Saturday!!!! :D whoohoo!
remember the church is true.
and remember that no matter what, in ALL the good times and bad, to be grateful. to be as the pioneers who sang danced and shouted praises to God during the most difficult thing they had ever gone through in their life's.

two weeks into the transfer! that's crazy. two more and pres pitarch is outta here!! we have zone conference with him this Thursday! should be fun! i am excited to meet the new president tho! hes from Peru. i don't remember his name tho.. but i'm sure it'll be cool having a new pres. nervous to see what changes. i heard they might open new areas too! id love to be able to open one!
this week went by normally wasn't fast or slow. got to do some exchanges with some elders in my district. i love working with them. its weird being the missionary with the most time in my district. only elder gabbitas from England has more than me. i still feel like i should be the newest. time is going by too fast :)
we didn't have as many people at church this time. but we had a few. Aide is progressing well. she is reading and praying and coming every week and making friends with the members. it makes me sooo happy to see that. shes becoming like a sister to me and i can already tell its gonna be hard leaving this area. I've grown pretty close to some of the people here. it wasn't as hard leaving my other areas cause there was still a little language barrier. but here, I'm falling in love with the people more and more everyday. i cant even imagine what it'll be like when i have to leave Colombia... DON'T EVEN WANNA THINK ABOUT IT! haha
hope everyone is getting involved in the work, WHEREVER you are. you'll find soo much happiness in it and learn what it really means to "Love your neighbor" as we have been commanded too.
SHOUTOUT to Zach who's getting his papers turned in this week!!! my guess: COLOMBIA!!!! haha
LOVE YOU ALL
