8/24/15
pretty good week. spent the first part finally getting over
whatever sickness i had. we found out the we can ask the mission to let us
borrow the Meet The Mormons movie. so we have planned a ward activity to show it
to the members here and have them invite their friends. should be exciting.
Luz Adriana cant get work off this Saturday so she will be baptized the
next Saturday the 5th of September.
we have been working a lot to find new people to teach. its different here
tho. in Pereira the people aren't afraid to say no. we get quite a bit of doors
in our face here. we have had a little bit of luck though.
winter is coming down hard here, i love it. its absolutely NOTHING like
Alaska (obviously) but it gets down to the 50s sometimes and rains REALLY hard.
last night we walked home up to our ankles in water. we did quite a bit of
splashing. i felt like a child but it was awesome. haha
glad this are going so well at home and you're having tons of fun! jealous
y'all get to see the grannys. its been a while since I've seen em.

interesting week. dint do much Tuesday and Wednesday because i was
waiting for my comp. hes a good guy. hes from Piru Peru. when he finally got
here we got to work and walked a ton. Thursday we got a call from Natalia saying
she wasn't gonna get baptized here she wants to get baptized in Medellin where
her member friends live. but you know, the important thing is that shes getting
baptized.
got really sick at the end of the week and was in bed pretty much all day
yesterday.
while laying in bed i realized how fast this last month flew by. less than
11 left now. CRAZY. it rained a ton this week. ended most days pretty wet. I'm
glad i bought the rain jacket. WAAYY better than an umbrella.
I'm glad all is going well back home! i cant believe schools already
starting. and that's Kade's a senior. and Jeni's a freshman!!
getting closer and closer to general conference again! i cant wait! been
reading a talk EVERY DAY! y'all should do the same!

the baptism was probably the highlight of the week. i went really
well. but the water was freezing. it reminded me of jim creek. Luz Delia almost
didn't go through with it because of the temp. glad she did though.
it was a pretty good week, i finally convinced my ZL to do an exchange with
me. but it ended up only lasting 3 hours because they had an emergency something
to do. we have another lady on date for baptism for the 29th of this month.
that'll be 3 altogether for august if all goes well. this week (if we don't have
transfers) we will basically be preparing Natalia for her baptism on
Saturday.
glad everything is going well back home! excited to see the pics of the
animals. whens grandma Bigelow coming up there?
love you all. the church is true. the spirit is Gods way to communicate
with us. so listen to him!!

My Week
My Week
had a good one. got a new golden investigator that will be baptized
the 15th!! and luz delia is set and ready for her baptism this week! I'm SUUUPER
excited. i think i am having the most success I've ever had on my mission here in
DosQuebradas. I'm loving it a tooon! gonna be hard to leave here. i already know
it. and speaking of leaving here. we got transfers comin up this next week. its
possible that they change my comp. but im sure im staying here til Nov or Dec
even..
but yeah... i gotta tell y'all a story!!! this week one day at lunch with
this REALLY old lady, we were sitting at the table and the hermana got up
screaming and slammed the door and told us to follow her... so we went down to
her basement hearing screaming men behind us outside the house. and she said "i
say six men and they all had guns! get down on the floor" so we laid down and
waited for about and hour. and we heard only one shot. then she got up and went
to the window to look and said they were still there, but they couldn't see her.
so i went to the window and when i looked i saw a police officer. so i told
everyone it was okay cause the police got there. and the hermana went back to the
window and said "what are you talking about?! hes right there!!"
then i realized, the very sweet (but senile) old lady thought the police
were thugs with guns. bahahaha
i have another experience but I'm gonna wait to share it. and i only am
telling you that i had it so that y'all remember to ask me about it when i get
home haha.
weelllll.... i love you guys! just want you to know you're all awesoooooome.
and i just want to testify of the power of prayer. and i want you all to know
God protects His missionaries. and ALL His children. Always pray. Always. even
if you don't feel worthy. Always pray. He´s the One that will NEVER fail you.
Always pray. you can confide in Him.

GOOOOODMORNING! had a pretty good week. got weird in the middle...
got to thinking a lot about home... but we kept the work up and every things
better now.
we had to move Luz Delia´s baptism back a week because she doesn't feel
ready.. but its alright. we can take it slow.
had the chance to talk to Elder Wadley today (i called him cause its his
birthday) and he says that Aydee is still good and active. that could have made
my week if it weren't for seeing you guys for a moment on Thursday. I'm so happy
for all you guys back home. you all seem so elated. makes me excited for when i
get home to see how happy y'all are when we´re ALL together! haha
anyways! me and my comp are doing good. i feel like we are both learning a
lot. i had the chance to interview a lady for baptism this week. it was sooo
cool to see how much she wanted it, and how much she understood. sadly we
couldn't make it to the baptism, but im sure it went amazing.
well chillens i love you. remember to sing always. even if you're not that
good. God hears our Hymns as prayers, i know that's true. and i know He lives and
loves us.

Dang it! its too hard not to. haha i know what the title says but
HOLY COW AUTUMN!!!!!! jaja cuantas dias ya? como te sientes?? no puede ser real.
mi mente no lo puede coger. no sè como podré infocarme... jaja chiste. lo harè.
te amo.
so for those of you who have no idea whats going on and don't speak Spanish.
my sister is finishing her mission this week and will be home Wednesday night!
crazy!
but yeah.. anyways. not too much to say about this week. we had zone conf
and interviews with the new pres so that was awesome. the pres is hilarious.
and even shorter than pres Pitarch haha. i also had to say goodbye to Elder
Padgett. sad moment. but I'm sure I'll see him after the mission.
my comp and i are doing good. We've working on trying or best to be 100%
obedient. and its hard. but worth it. we were praying for a miracle this week
with one of our investigators who was supposed to be baptized this upcoming
Saturday but we didn't get it. he didn't come to church. INSTEAD we got a
different miracle! a lady we have never seen before that lives just down the
road from us came to church. she said she was just in Utah on a business trip
or something and found the church there and wants to get baptized!!! i love when
stuff like that happens :)
well guys... have an awesome week! hug the family for me Autumn. y si la
bebè no se acuerda de ti, no te preocupes. todo estarà bien jaja ;)
